GENERAL MERCHANDISE
At Richard’s of Toto, our everyday merchandise is often times the icing on the shopping cake. Where a customer may make a trip specifically to find value in one of our key departments, they may find a pleasant little bonus on an item that they may use every single day. During the course of our business we find and offer unbelievable deals on the kinds of products found in every single home. Cookware, bathroom supplies, cleaning products, and tons… literally-tons of other products and all of them sold well below their retail value!
As with all of our products, our general merchandise are not returned items. These are not shelf-pulls. These are first run, quality merchandise and much of it is from national best selling brands. They are, in short, just the kind of products that we can feel proud to offer to our customers. And more often then not, they are the bargains that our customers will boast to their friends about finding.
The only thing ‘common’ about our everyday merchandise is the fact that they may be found in most homes, and everything else about them – their value and their quality are quite extraordinary. FURNITURE
A couple of years ago we decided to get into the furniture game, and the more we did it, the more we realized just how good a fit it is with what we do. Simply put, we sell top quality first-run furniture from industry leading manufacturers well blow the suggested retail price. These are the same pieces you’ll find in bigger household and furniture stores, but the only difference is that you are not paying so much!
How is it we can sell name brand furniture for less than furniture stores? Because we are not a furniture store, that’s why. Furniture is just one of our departments; as a result we can sell a name brand dinette set for less than the target price of a store that sells only furniture.
We have found that customers who buy their furniture with us will ultimately send their friends and family here as well, and that’s because they understand a good deal when they see one.

GIFTS and DECORATIONS
One of the first and best-established ways in which Richard’s of Toto stood apart from other stores was the wide selection of unique gift and decorative items we offer. We have given entire sections of shelving over to themes such as safari, nautical, western, apple, and more. Anyone who carry’s a decorative theme throughout their bathrooms, kitchens, or living rooms are sure to find a unique accent here to add to their collections.
What might you find here? Aisle after aisle of every kind of knickknack imaginable: cookie jars, scented candles, piggy banks, statues, clocks, picture frames, mirrors, eyeglass holders, potpourri burners, lunch boxes, scrap books…just about any manner of bric-a-brac you can think of. Most of them you cannot find anywhere else and all of them sold at incredible discounts.

FLORAL
Every season, we stock our shelves and display stands with new silk and artificial flowers from all over the world. And every season customers from all over the Midwest come to take advantage of our industry low prices. Our purchasing philosophy of overruns and surpluses allow us to sell top quality merchandise below box store prices, and have led us to become one of the preferred stops for professional decorators, wedding planners, florists, as wells as discerning shoppers.
We are proud of what we have on offer in all of our departments and our floral selection is no different. If we are to offer the merchandise, then we will make sure they are worth the money and the trip. When we look for flowers we look for the same thing our customers do: Sturdy construction as well as full, realistic, beautiful arrangements.

LAWN and GARDEN
We don’t pretend to be the place that will sell you what you everything you need to make your garden grow, but we do regularly stock what makes your garden show. We place center stage what other stores keep as an afterthought. We carry lawn and garden decorations of all sorts, and can cater to any taste. If you are the kind of shopper that is interested in making their lawn a valued, usable area of their home then we have what you need.
We carry accents like wind chimes and statuettes that highlight your living space and class to your garden. We carry trellises, tools and chemicals to help you care for your lawn, and to make it the best it can be. We also sell rain gauges, thermometers, weather veins – whatever we can find that meets our and our customer’s standards of quality and value.
To many people, our lawn and garden department is the reason for their trip to us, and for many more, it is another one of the pleasant surprises that Richard’s of Toto is famous for.

TOOLS
Not everything we sell is meant as decoration, we also sell tools and hardware as well! From small screwdrivers to large machine wrenches we carry a large assortment of hand tools for carpentry, dry wall and painting. We also stock work gloves of all sorts, tarpaulins of all sizes and dump tables heaping with the handy little tools that complete any work or craft area.
Our tool supply includes seconds of packing tape. Wielding rod and wire, as well as things like foil insulation and furnace filters. We have found that the wholesale market is filled with great deals on the sorts of things that are handy when had, and Richard’s of Toto is your place to get them.
Every trip to Richard’s of Toto should also include a stop by our tool department, if only to see what is new. And who knows…?

HOLIDAYS
Long before big box stores stocked the odd pre lit Christmas tree in the fourth quarter, Richard’s of Toto made it their business to seek out and stock quality greenery that would last year after year. And that goes for our entire stock of Christmas items, much of which is on display all year long! Just as we are the place to go to get the decorations your house the rest of the year, it is doubly so for the Christmas season.
We have what you need to make your home a Christmas wonderland and the envy of your neighborhood.
Every year we carry large outdoor decorations like snowmen, reindeer and the jolly fat man himself. We also pack ourselves high and tight with indoor decorations of all sorts. We are famous for our items like ornaments, stockings, window dressings, and of course, wreaths, garland and trees.
And not just Christmas either, we are the place to go to get everything you need to celebrate every holiday with style and class. St. Patrick’s Day? Every February we have it covered! Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations are all sold here and heavily discounted!
